This show is a preform of the current running Domoto Kyodai. The show aired from 1996 until 2001 in Fuji TV showing 214 episodes. Takuro Yoshida, one of Japanese major folk singer and song writer, and Kinki Kids (before their debut) were put as a team to moderate this music show. They invited different guests, have a talk about their favorite things and at the end of the show let the guest perform their favorite song alone and with KK. The also used to have figures from Takuro-san, Koichi, Tsuyoshi and also created one for each guest. The figures were really cute and well made.
Under the influence of Takuro Yoshida, many famous Japanese musician are gathered on this show as a band called “Love Love All Stars”. This show had an important role for KK music career, here is where they had their music lessons and collaborated with a lot of famous musician. KK learned how to play guitars, Koichi even played drum in this show. They also wrote and perform their first songs, Koichi’s “My Wish” and Tsuyoshi’s “Yasashisa wo mune ni daite”. KK’s song “Suki ni natteku, aishiteku”, music by Koichi and lyric by Tsuyoshi were produced by Takuro-san for the show and were used as opening song.
The show also had the famous Tomoe Shinohara “Puri Puri Pretty”, a member of the “Love Love All Stars”. Her show was a short interview with the guests on backstage. She went into their backstage room and asked for something, the present from the guest will then be given to the audience. Tomoe has quite a good relationship with KK, they are like childhood friends, since they were about the same age and started at the same time. Close enough that Koichi and Tsuyoshi wouldn’t hesitate to pinched or drag her (it’s her gag, playing the annoying characters and then get bullied). Anyway Tomoe even met world’s famous stars in her show, like James Brown, Robin Williams, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jean Reno, Tarantino, Aerosmith, Denzel Washington etc.
Honestly I like Love Love Aishiteru better than Domoto Kyodai. Probably because KK were such a kid back then, they were more spontaneous with their jokes. Takuro-san was like a father figure who gave them space to act freely and Tomoe was like the little sister. The atmosphere of the show was warm like a big family.
